About Ms. CaruthersI grew up in Orange, TX where I graduated in the top 5% of my class at West Orange Stark High School. From there, I went to the University of Texas at Austin where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I began teaching at Mesquite High School in 1996, and I have proudly worked there ever since. I developed a love for science through a wonderful teacher, Michael Hoke. I hope to instill the same inspiration to my students.
We began the Ignite@MHS program in 2013. The journey has been extremely successful for the students and rewarding for all involved. Please see below for information about Ignite. |
ignite@mHSIgnite@MHS is an accelerated academic program in a non-traditional classroom setting. We work with students to prepare them to not only graduate high school but to become equipped with the skills needed for a successful future.
